Graduate Awards

Black Church Print Studio offers three Graduate Awards to graduates of fine art third level colleges specialising in print. Participating colleges include Dublin Institute of Technology, Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology and the National College of Art & Design.

 

1st prize: 1 year's free Full-time Membership to the Studio & Exhibition in the Curiosity Cabinet

2nd Prize: 5 Days Temporary Access

3rd Prize: 7-week Printmaking Course at the Studio
Basic materials and technical guidance are also included. These awards are vital to the continuance of the Studio by fostering young talent emerging from Irish Colleges today.

 

The selection process takes place at the Graduate Shows in May/June. Selection Panel consists of 3 Board Members in conjunction with the Department Heads of various fine art third level colleges.

 

2010 Winners

1st Prize: Anna O Byrne, (DIT) & David Lunny, (NCAD). Joint award winners, receiving six-month full time membership effective as of September 2010

2nd Prize: Scarlett O'Reilly (DIT). Receiving a one year membership to the Studio's Extended Access Programme.
