Karina Drogowska was born in 1981 in Poland. She graduated as a Master of Arts in 2006 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw where she studied in the Department of Painting under the guidance of Professor Leon Tarasewicz and in the Department of Graphics-Lithography under the guidance of Professor Wieslaw Winiecki.
Karina has been living in Ireland 3 years during which time she has been painting and printmaking and works in lithography due to the graphics being close to these mediums, considering the creation process to be similar but on a different surface.
She is attaracted to lithography for it's magnificent effects, when you put one layer on another to obtain different colours or shapes. Her graphics have been evolving from representative to collision, discordant prints where she links letters and words with images. Usually the word describes a background, which is more like an abstract on which you can discover shapes.
