Artist Statement

 

Fine print is a fascinating medium with its fine and subtle qualities. The process of experimenting with new ideas and the exploration of different techniques is exciting and interesting to Yvan. Innovative work translates into a new personalized artistic language and the developed provocative approach loosens the restrains of classic print, as a result individual creativity and character come into play.

 

Biography

 

In 2007 Yvan graduated with a BA (Hons) Fine Art, Fine Print, The National College of Art and Design (NCAD) Dublin. In the same year he was the winner of the Graduate Award from the Black Church Print Studio where he remains a member. He has exhibited regularly in Ireland and abroad. His work is represented in public and private collections.
